Cookie Policy

Effective date: [July 1, 2026]
1. What cookies are 2. Categories of cookies 3. Consent 4. Interest-based advertising choices 5. Global Privacy Control 6. Third-party cookies 7. Managing cookies 8. Business-visitor identification 9. Changes & contact

This Cookie Policy explains how Social Gear, Inc. ("Social Gear," "we," "our," "us") uses cookies and similar technologies on our websites, applications, and services (the "Services"). It should be read with our Privacy Notice. By using the Services, and where required by giving your consent, you agree to the use of cookies as described here.

1. What Cookies Are

Cookies are small data files stored on your device. We also use similar technologies including web beacons, tracking pixels, SDKs, local storage, log files, device identifiers, and analytics tags — referred to collectively as "cookies." They help recognise your device, remember preferences, measure performance, and support advertising.

2. Categories of Cookies We Use

Essential

Necessary for the Services to function — authentication, security, session management, load balancing, and consent management. These cannot be switched off through our systems.

Functional

Remember choices such as language, region, and interface preferences to personalise your experience.

Analytics and Performance

Help us understand usage — pages viewed, navigation paths, device and browser information, and error diagnostics — using internal and trusted third-party analytics tools.

Advertising and Marketing

Used by us and our advertising partners to measure campaign performance, limit repetition, and deliver interest-based advertising. See Sections 4 and 5 for your choices.

3. Consent (EU, UK, India, and Similar Jurisdictions)

Where required by law, we place non-essential cookies only after you consent through our cookie-consent tool, and you can change or withdraw your choices at any time using that tool. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing carried out before withdrawal. Essential cookies do not require consent.

4. Interest-Based Advertising Choices

We and our advertising partners use cookies and identifiers to deliver interest-based advertising. You can opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies through:

  • Digital Advertising Alliance (DAA): optout.aboutads.info
  • Network Advertising Initiative (NAI): optout.networkadvertising.org
  • EU/UK — Your Online Choices: youronlinechoices.eu
  • Mobile: use your device's advertising-identifier controls ("Limit Ad Tracking" / "Opt out of Ads Personalization").

Opting out does not stop all advertising — only interest-based personalisation. Because opt-outs are stored in a cookie or device setting, you may need to renew them if you clear cookies or change devices.

5. Global Privacy Control (GPC) and "Do Not Sell or Share"

We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal as a valid request to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, where applicable law recognises it. You can also opt out through our "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link at mysocialgear.com/opt-out. See our Privacy Notice for more on U.S. state privacy choices.

6. Third-Party and Advertising-Partner Cookies

Some features rely on third parties — including advertising and programmatic partners (for example, Amazon advertising services, PubMatic, and, where offered, Google DV360), analytics providers, payment processors, and embedded content — which may set their own cookies subject to their own policies. Our advertising-partner relationships are described further in our Privacy Notice. We do not control third-party cookies and encourage you to review those providers' policies.

7. Managing Cookies in Your Browser

Most browsers let you view, delete, and block cookies through their settings, including blocking third-party cookies or clearing data on exit. Restricting some cookies may affect the availability or performance of certain features. Guidance is available in your browser's help resources.

8. Business-Visitor Identification

For business visitors, where permitted by law, we may combine cookie data with information from trusted providers to understand business engagement (for example, company name, industry, and professional profile) to support marketing and sales. Where required by law, we obtain consent before such processing.

9. Changes and Contact

We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect legal, technological, or operational changes; the revised Effective Date will be shown, and where required we will seek fresh consent.
